In 1977 the Sex Pistols stirred up the crowd with their irreverent masterpiece God Save the Queen. It was a few days before the Queen's Silver Jubilee, and the country was in the grip of national elation; they pulverised the English myth while racial tensions, petrol-price fluctuations, and social misery hit the country. A few months later, they did it again with a totally punk interpretation of the monumental My way, mêlant dandysme et excentricité. mixing dandyism with eccentricity. So, let’s do it their way and listen up to this Newsletter.

Today Great Britain is isolated and Europe is threatened with shipwreck. But the EuroFederation of Psychoanalysis and its Congress on non-standard clinical practice is a long way from having said its last word! Throughout the coming months you will be introduced to a Europe-friendly working community.

For our first four newsletters, those responsible for each of our rubrics will, in all their glorious eccentricity, present their opening gambits: Italian militancy, PIPOL 8’s take on regionalism, a Flemish perspective on body art, the troubled frontiers of eroticism, Cartography of the new parenting.
